Caving
Rene at our local cave
In the forest within walking distance from our farm is a cave. It can be used purely for caving experiences or you may find it gives purpose to the elements learnt for climbing and absailing.
Some of you might enjoy the unusual aspect of sleeping there in a camp you establish and cook on an open fire.
This January, 2009 we walked there in deep snow and glorious sunshine. Most wildlife was invisible to us but we were able to track brown bears, wolves, wild boar and deer. We woke a tawny owl as we entered the cave, unafraid it observed us for some time!

Walking, Hiking and Rambling
We can supply you with good maps and advise on routed walks taking in many sights, beautiful views, interesting architecture and methods of farming.
There are very few obvious farm boudaries and we have always had fantastic welcomes and hospitality from Croatians we have met. They are friendly and warm, there is often an offer of a glass of their homemade wine or brandy, Rakia.
Croatia is known to have the largest beech forests in Europe and the paths through pass rivers where you should stop and swim. The villages are picturesque. We are situated on the edge of an area known as The Zumberak rich in history and culture.
(Walks are accompanied when part of an Activity or Survival/Bushcraft holiday)
